3rd European Methodist Festival: Krakow 2012

Looking for a really great place to visit this summer? Then the following news from the European Methodist Council might be just the thing for you! Yes, we know Poland is a long way to go but with no fewer than three airlines operating flights direct from Liverpool John Lennon Airport to Krakow, it's easier to get there than you might think and the prices for accomodation, meals and festival admittance are very low.

The European Methodist Council invites you to the third European Methodist Festival

It's for YOU- "For You"

We are preparing this large meeting for young and old, for children and youth, for singles and families. We are expecting 1000 people between Wednesday, 8th and Sunday, 12th August 2012. The encounters at this event will enrich us as Methodists and United Methodist Christians from different European countries and strengthen our faith.

  • We will listen and learn from one another
  • KrakowWe will talk and debate
  • We will sing and play
  • We will celebrate Jesus
  • We will confess our faith in the midst of the city of Krakow
  • We will meet in workshops, seminars,

Wesley (small) groups and prayer groups, at Morning Praise and in night cafés, at Gospel workshops and relaxed coffee groups at the 'EMK-Mobil'. Sports and games will also be offered.

More information about the festival and current news can be found online at www.methodistfestival.eu

A guided tour of the city and trips to nearby sights (e.g. the Auschwitz memorial site) are being planned.

Our tent city will be built on the area of 'Blonia Field'.

Accomodation

We have booked plenty of rooms and apartments in the student dormitories of the AGH University for Science and Technology. The dining hall will take good care of us. Hotels will also be offered.

You can register for this event online at www.methodistfestival.eu/register2012.

Choose how much you want to pay

There are 3 different prices for the same accomodation and it's up to you which rate you choose to pay. According to the leaflet, you can pay the standard rate of 172.50 euros to 340.00 euros for all four days including accomodation, meals and festival admission  (price depends on the standard of accomodation), or you can choose to pay a bit more to help sponsor those who can't afford the standard rate, or choose the lower sponsored rate if you need it. How Methodist is that?

Oh, and there are discounts for under 15s and children under 7 pay nothing at all.

Download the leaflet

A leaflet containing full detais of this event is available for download below. It looks a bit confusing at first but please bear in mind it's meant to be printed out double sided then folded into 3, so the front cover is the 3rd panel of page 1, page 2 is the first panel of page 2 and so on. I'm sure you'll be able to figure it out, it's nowhere near as complicated as I'm managing to make it sound ;-)
